- My name is Cassandra James. I have lived in Detroit for about 35 years. I am 54 years old. Happily divorced. Four grown children and granny 11 times. I'm mostly just a stay close to home person. I'm just your average working class woman fed up with what I see going on in the world and all around me. I thought the goal was to improve life and here we are going backwards. I have been a union member for twenty-six years. I started studying revolutionary Marxist thinking when I moved to Detroit from Georgia. Socialism is the only way to go. I am not a member of any political organizations but have those I prefer. I gave up on the Democrats and never had any use for Republicans. Sometimes I vote other times I don't. We need to stop electing politicians and start putting more in jail. I would like to see my grand kids grow up in a world of equality and peace.
